Denny High School
The 'What Skills, What Jobs' event takes place at Falkirk Town Hall on Wednesday 13 March 2013, between 10am – 7pm. There will be a number of representatives on hand to offer advice and guidance on what training and employment is currently available locally.
Miss Tartaglia and Miss Burns would like to thank all staff and pupils who were kind enough to donate food cans and money to the Cans for Grans and Grandads fund.
The pupils involved were able to deliver 150 food parcels to elderly in the local area due to your generosity over the Christmas period.
We would also like to make a special thank you to Sainsburys and the local Co-Operative in Denny for also donating items.
All your help has been greatly appreciated.
Tickets for the Inter House Talent Show will go on sale on Monday 10th December at 1.10pm in Mr Mawston's classroom and will continue to be sold at the same time each day until sold out.
Tickets will cost £1. There are a limited number of tickets available with each house being allocated an equal amount of tickets.
Participants do not require a ticket.
It’s that time of year again where pupils at Denny High School are getting ready to organise and deliver their yearly Christmas food parcels to the elderly in the local area. Just like last year we are looking for a selection of items to be donated to this cause.
Possible items might include
• Tinned fruit/vegetables
• Tinned soups
• Biscuits, Christmas Pies, Shortbread
• Teabags, Coffee
• Any money donations would also be greatly appreciated
Last year we delivered around 150 parcels to the elderly in the local area and our aim is to increase the parcels delivered this year.
Pupils can drop donations off to Miss Tartaglia in room F38. All donations will be greatly appreciated.
**Please can pupils check the use by date on items they are donating **
Over the last 3 weeks all pupils in S4,5 and 6 have been attending workshops led by advisors from SDS (Skills Development Scotland).
As part of the workshop the pupils were introduced to the new web service. Pupils can access this to get advice on careers, jobs and how to write CV’s etc. Parents are encouraged to visit this site to see what support is being given
If you require further information, please contact Miss Swan, who will be happy to assist.
