What is a Parent Council?
Its simple! The Parent Council is for parents and carers who want to get find out what’s happening at Denny High School and discover how you can help your children get the most out of their years at Denny High.
The Parent Council exists to:
- Support the school in its work with children. You can find out the latest news and meet other parents.
- Represent the views of parents and carers. All the things we discuss are questions asked by parents.
- Help the school understand the needs of parents. Help the school understand how best to involved parents in children’s education.
- Get parents involved with the school
The meetings are very informal. Normally we will have a talk about a subject of interest – for example, homework, school uniform, internet safety, bullying and then a discussion of whatever questions or concerns parents have raised.
Hope to see you at a meeting soon!
